BETAReductable is beta software. US$79 is beta pricing. What that means

Every thought, sorted by time

Everything on your mind, in one infinite outline

Type a thought the moment you have it. Reductable stacks it onto an infinite, self-sorting outline — nest it, tag it, find it again later. An outline that lives on your devices and answers to no one.

No folders to maintain. Tag a thought and it flows into every matching view — your whole outline, sliced to exactly what you're doing right now.

How sync works

No central server. Your devices talk directly.

Every device talks to every other directly — no server in the middle, encrypted end to end. Share a branch by tag and a friend on the same network sees just that branch, live. To reach devices on other networks, you can self-host your own peer that adds relay and discovery, so they sync while both are online; it only ever holds replicas it cannot read.

encrypted · peer-to-peer · no account

Direct sync happens when devices share a network — the same Wi-Fi, or the same VPN. Reductable doesn't bridge your network across the internet to a friend's; reaching other networks is what a self-hosted relay-and-discovery peer is for.

Built to stay yours

No server in the middle. No account. No catch.

No central server

Devices sync directly, peer-to-peer. Same-network sync and self-hosting are always free.

Yours, end to end

Notes live in a local SQLite database. Optional backup is zero-knowledge — encrypted so only you can read it.

One purchase, every platform

macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android — unlimited devices, one person, one license.

No phone-home

The app never checks in. Your license is an offline token; it works fully offline, forever.

Add-on modules

Reductable does one thing well. When you want more, add a module — a one-time purchase, like the app. No subscription creep.

Calendar

See dated nodes on a day, week, or month grid. Schedule from the outline and your plans stay where your thinking lives.

Gantt

Turn any subtree into a timeline — nodes become bars with start, end, and dependencies. A project plan is just an outline you can see.

Local LLM

Ask, summarize, and find across your outline with a model that runs entirely on your device. No cloud, no phone-home — private by default.

Own it forever

One purchase. Every platform. No subscription for the app.

Buy Reductable once and own it on macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android — unlimited devices, free updates, delivered as an offline license with no account and no phone-home. Same-network sync and self-hosting are always free.

What we promise

A privacy policy is a promise. We just don't have your notes.

No account to breach, no database to mine, no copy to change our mind about.

No account, ever

You don't sign up for Reductable. There's no profile, no email gate, no identity tied to your notes.

An encrypted copy only you can unlock

Optional backup is zero-knowledge: a self-hosted peer holds replicas it cannot read. The keys never leave your devices.

It never phones home

The app makes no background calls. Your license is an offline token, so it keeps working with no network at all.

Questions

Is Reductable ready to use?

Reductable is in public beta. It's stable enough for daily use — we use it daily — but it is beta software: expect bugs, rough edges, and features still landing. Keep your own backups; Reductable exports your whole outline, and your notes stay in your hands either way.

What does beta pricing mean?

US$79 is the beta price, and it rises when Reductable leaves beta. Buy during the beta and you own the app forever at that price — 1.0 and every update after it, on every platform, with no second purchase and no subscription.

Is Reductable free?

Reductable is a paid app that's free forever up to 200 of your own nodes — no account, no card, no time limit. A one-time purchase then unlocks unlimited nodes on every platform, across unlimited devices. Same-network sync and self-hosting are always free.

Is it a free trial that expires?

No. The free tier isn't time-limited and the app never goes read-only — you keep using it free up to 200 nodes for as long as you like. Only creating a new node past the cap is gated, and deleting a node frees a slot. It's fully local, so it never phones home. A one-time purchase unlocks unlimited nodes on every platform.

How do I buy it?

From inside the app. Download Reductable, use it free, and when you hit the node cap open Settings → License and press Unlock — the app takes you to checkout with your account already filled in, and your license is bound to it. On iPhone and iPad that's an in-app purchase. There's nothing to buy on this website, and no sign-up either way.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no sign-up, no email gate, and no identity tied to your notes. Your license is an offline signed token, so the app keeps working with no network at all.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Reductable is local-first: your notes live on your device and everything works fully offline. The app never phones home.

What platforms does it run on?

We're building for macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS and Android, and a single purchase unlocks all of them, with unlimited devices. They haven't all shipped yet: macOS and iOS are installable today, and Windows, Linux and Android are still on the way. The download page carries the current status for each, including which are still in beta.

How do you sync without a central server?

Your devices exchange changes directly, peer to peer, over the network they share — the same Wi-Fi, or the same VPN, with no account and no third party. It's not a bridge from your network across the internet to someone else's: to reach other networks, you can self-host your own peer that adds relay and discovery, so devices on different networks sync while both are online — free and yours. It can also keep a client-encrypted backup only you can unlock.

Do my devices need to be online at the same time to sync?

Yes — with no central server there's no inbox in the cloud, so two devices exchange changes when both are awake and can reach each other, whether on a shared network or through a peer you self-host. A self-hosted peer relays changes across networks but doesn't hold a mailbox that catches them while a device is offline. Store-and-forward — your devices converging even when they're never awake together — isn't part of self-hosting; it's a capability we may offer later as a paid service.

Is my data private?

Yes. Nothing is tracked and the app makes no background calls. If you self-host a backup peer, it holds only client-encrypted replicas it cannot read, and the keys never leave your devices — an encrypted copy only you can unlock.

Are updates free?

Yes. Updates to the app are free — there's no subscription for the app itself.
